In the 1880s, the first unified West Indian team was formed and toured Canada and the United States. In the 1890s, the first representative teams were formed to face visiting English teams.
In 1926, the West Indies Cricket Board became a member of the Imperial Cricket Council, the world's governing body of cricket, and played its first Test match in 1928. Despite having exceptional players in their early years as a Test country, their success was patchy until the 1960s.
Since 1926, the WICB has been a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), as well as a member of the Americas Cricket Association. It manages the West Indies cricket team and the West Indies cricket team, as well as organising Test tours and one-day internationals against other teams, according to West Indies cricket team news.
Toward the end of the 1970s, the West Indies had a team that was regarded as the unofficial world champions, with talented batsmen, standout fielders, and a formidable speed bowling attack. The West Indies squad of the 1970s and 1980s is now regarded as one of the greatest in test cricket history, alongside Don Bradman's Australian "Invincibles."
The great 1980s squad not only inflicted two 5-0 "blackwashes" on the old foe of England but also set a then-record streak of 11 straight Test victories in 1984, part of a still-standing record of 27 tests without a loss (the other tests were draws).
While they haven't reached such heights on a consistent basis in recent years, the WINDIES continue to outperform the rest of the world on a pound-for-pound basis, despite having access to a population that is less than 0.1% of the world's largest cricketing nation (India - population 1.34 billion).
The WINDIES were the only team to win three ICC World Cup events at the same time in 2016: the Men's ICC World T20, the Women's ICC World T20, and the ICC Under-19 World Cup.

The West Indies team wears all-white when playing test cricket. In ODI and T20 cricket, this charming country wears a maroon t-shirt and matching pants.
The name of the sponsor, Sandals, is, however, emblazoned on the shirt and has been for the past three years. Moving on to the hats and caps worn, the cap features the WICB logo. In addition, the front has two yellow stripes.
