The 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was the 12th edition of the tournament, held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for 6 February - 7 March 2021 but was postponed by one year because of COVID-19. On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would begin on 4 March 2022, and the final would be held on 3 April 2022.
In the tournament, there were many ups and downs, since some favorites like India and New Zealand were eliminated before the finals.
The final of this tournament was played between Australia and England, where Australia defeated England by 71 runs to win their seventh World Cup. Alyssa Healy, of Australia, scored 170 runs in the World Cup Final, the highest score by any cricketer, male or female. In the competition, Alyssa Healy scored the highest number of runs, with 509, and was named the Tournament Player.
