In the month of December 2022, the Indian Cricket Team toured Bangladesh to play 2 Tests and 3 One Day Internationals (ODIs) against the Bangladeshi cricket team. This Test series was part of the ICC World Test Championship from 2021 to 2023. The fixture was confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on 20 October 2022. Nevertheless, on 23 November, the third One Day International was moved from Mirpur to Chittagong due to political reasons in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh won the ODI series against India with a margin of 2-1, and it was their second home series victory in succession against India.
The first test match was won comprehensively by India by 188 runs. During the second test, India lost 7 wickets for 74 while chasing 145 over the course of the innings, but a 71-run partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin led India to a 3 wicket win and India eventually won the series 2–0
