During September and October 2022, England's cricket team traveled to Pakistan to play seven Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) as a warm-up for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. As part of its tour of Pakistan, the English team returned to the country in December 2022 to play three Test matches. As part of the ICC World Test Championship, the Test matches were played between 2021 and 2023.
Tom Harrison, the Chief Executive of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), traveled to Pakistan in November 2021 to repair the relationship between the ECB and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following the cancellation of England's scheduled tour to Pakistan in October 2021. In light of positive discussions, the original itinerary of five T20I matches has been expanded to seven.
In the entire series, the England team thrashed the Pakistani team both in T20s and Tests. This series is a dark chapter in Pakistan's cricketing history since their home performances were the best in the past.
