On 10 July 2024, it was confirmed that the Big Bash League (BBL) would return for its fourteenth season, set to begin on 15 December 2024. The tournament will feature thrilling cricket action spanning over a month, culminating in the final scheduled for 27 January 2025. The 2025 BBL season, however, will face stiff competition, coinciding with other major T20 leagues such as the Super Smash, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), SA20, and International League T20.
