Team Hyderabad finished the all-India BuchiBabu Tournament in style by beating Chhattisgarh by 243 runs on the final day of the summit clash at the NPR College Ground on Wednesday.
The Rahul Singh-led team entered day four on firm footing, having already secured the crucial first-innings lead and had set Chhattisgarh an improbable target of 518 in 90 overs.
After taking a healthy first innings lead of 236 runs, Hyderabad were dismissed for 281 in the second innings. Chhattisgarh’s Jeevesh Butte was the pick of the bowlers with 6/56.
Earlier, Chhattisgarh, who resumed at their overnight 145/8, were bundled out for 181. Overnight batter Gagandeep Singh was unbeaten on 59.
