The future of Asia Cup 2022 remains undecided, as there has been no big decision taken in the BCCI SGM. Also, as far as the schedule of the World Cup 2023 is concerned, that will be announced when India take on Australia in the much-awaited World Test Championship finals. The secretary of the BCCI, Jay Shah, said that "the venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be decided at a press conference during the ICC World Test Championship final, and the complete schedule for the tournament will also be revealed." He further added that "the future of the Asia Cup 2023 will be decided once we have a meeting with the ACC members and the associate nations."
Jay Shah also informed me that 15 stadiums have been shortlisted for improvement in basic facilities for the fans, and more stadiums will be added at a later stage. The BCCI will also announce specific committees in a week that will handle the World Cup 2023 in India and the women's Premier League. A commitment to draught the POSH (prevention of sexual harassment) policy will also be announced.
