Seamer for New Zealand cricket team Doug Bracewell has been called into the Test Squad because Neil Wagner has injured his back and leg and has been ruled out of the rest of the ongoing First Test against Sri Lanka cricket team. Wagner left the ground in the third session of the third day of the match because of some serious issues in his back and leg. For now, there is no information about the exact status of his injury, but Wagner failed the fitness test before playing on the fourth day, i.e., on Sunday. It is presumed that there are chances that he will not be fit for the second test match as well, which is going to begin on Friday.Coach of the New Zealand cricket team Gary Stead said that Doug is a skilful bowler who has been in strong form for the Central Stags across formats this season. He further said that "we believe his skills will complement the rest of the bowlers we have in the group going into the next Test."Doug Bracewell, who is 32 years old, had last played a test match in the year 2016 as he replaces Will Young in the team, who was released for playing first-class cricket. In addition to the three fast bowlers, who are Tim Southee, Matt Henry, and Blair Tickner, team New Zealand also has Scott Kuggelejin, who made his test debut only last month. Doug's addition to the team is going to bring more experience, as he has played in 27 test matches and taken 72 wickets.
