Yashasvi Jaiswal has confirmed his availability for Mumbai’s next Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir, scheduled for January 23. The announcement comes after Jaiswal’s impressive performances during India’s recent tour of Australia, where he scored a century and a half-century, standing out in an otherwise challenging series for the team.

A source from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) stated that Jaiswal informed coach Omkar Salvi about his readiness to participate. The selection committee will finalize the team shortly. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has also been training with the Mumbai squad, and if he confirms his availability, the lineup will feature several star players, including Ajinkya Rahane.

Jaiswal is not part of the T20 squad for the five-match series against England starting January 22, allowing him to focus on domestic cricket. However, middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan has reported a rib fracture and will miss the upcoming match. The MCA will conduct a medical assessment through the National Cricket Academy due to his BCCI contract.

With domestic cricket emphasized as crucial for player development, both Jaiswal and Rohit aim to build form ahead of future international commitments.
