The second phase of ticket sales for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 opened on Wednesday (January 15) on BookMyShow, drawing overwhelming interest from fans, particularly for the big India-Pakistan clash that was included in this round of allocations.
Within minutes of going live, BookMyShow experienced a surge in traffic as users attempted to secure seats for what is traditionally the most sought-after fixture in the tournament calendar. The volume of concurrent requests caused the platform's servers to crash.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup commences on February 7 and runs till March 8. India start their campaign on February 7 against USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai while Pakistan face Netherlands in Colombo in the opening fixture of the global tournament.
India will then face Namibia in Delhi on February 12, followed by Pakistan in Colombo on February 15 before rounding off their group stage against Netherlands in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, Pakistan, following their fixture against Netherlands are scheduled to play USA on February 10, India on February 15 and end the group stage against Namibia. All of their games will be played in Colombo, across the Sinhalese Sports Club and R Premadasa Stadium.
