BCCI Announces Central Contracts for Indian Women’s Cricket Team for 2024-25 Season

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the central contracts for the Indian Women’s cricket team for the 2024-25 season, which runs from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Leading the Grade A category are captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, and all-rounder Deepti Sharma, each receiving an annual retainer of ?50 lakh.

In Grade B, which offers ?30 lakh, notable players like Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Shafali Verma have retained their contracts. However, left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad has been dropped from this category due to a lack of recent performances.

Grade C includes a mix of established and emerging talents. Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, and Sneh Rana remain in this tier, while fresh faces such as Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, and Uma Chetry have made their debut in the retainership. Notably, several players from the previous season’s Grade C list missed out on contracts this year. The announcement reflects BCCI’s ongoing commitment to support women’s cricket in India.
