The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled a board meeting on November 29 to discuss the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to be hosted by Pakistan in February. The announcement of fixtures for this marquee event was delayed due to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the tournament.

As reported, the ICC is likely to seek a vote from its members during the meeting to determine the venue for the Champions Trophy. The board includes representatives from 12 Full Member countries and three Associate nations, along with an independent director and the ICC chairman and CEO. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has previously sought clarification from the ICC regarding India’s stance, while the Indian government has reportedly denied permission for the team to travel.

Pakistan remains firm on retaining hosting rights, but discussions about a hybrid model—where matches could be split between Pakistan and neutral venues—are ongoing. Pakistan has threatened legal action against India for not traveling and has also considered withdrawing from the tournament if a hybrid model is adopted.
