After Bahutule moves to IPL 2025, BCCI seeks new spin coach to assist VVS Laxman at NCA

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is seeking a spin bowling coach for its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru, following the departure of SairajBahutule, who has joined Rajasthan Royals as their spin bowling coach for IPL 2025. This role is crucial for enhancing India’s spin bowling capabilities across formats and age groups. The coach will work closely with VVS Laxman, the Head of Cricket at CoE, to design specialized coaching programs and monitor player performance.

The responsibilities include collaborating with selectors, national and state coaches, performance analysts, and fitness experts to develop high-performance training plans. The coach will also mentor players from the men’s and women’s national teams, junior squads like India A, U-23, U-19, U-16, and U-15, as well as state association players training at the CoE.

Applicants must have played for India or at least 75 first-class matches in India and possess three years of recent coaching experience at high-performance centers such as international teams, India A, or IPL franchises. A BCCI COE Level 3 or Level 2 Performance Coach certification is required. The application deadline is April 10, 2025, at 5 PM IST. This position aims to further strengthen India’s spin bowling talent pipeline.
