The rising superstar of cricket, Shubman Gill, has shared his reaction to meeting Indian tennis legend Rohan Bopanna. The 43-year-old tennis ace has been in the news ever since he clinched his maiden men’s doubles title at the Australia Open 2024 and became the oldest Grand Slam champion and No. 1 in the history of tennis.
Gill, who is on a short break from cricket, met up with the legend and shared their snap on his Instagram account. He described Bopanna as an ‘Absolute Legend’ while sharing the image in his story.
Similar to Shubman Gill, Bopanna is also on a short hiatus from tennis following his record-breaking spree in January. While the younger opener will be in action on February 15 in Rajkot, the tennis ace will most likely return to the sport at the Indian Wells Masters in early March.
This isn’t the first time that Bopanna has met a superstar from a different sport since his Australian Open triump. Just a couple of days ago, the tennis legend met up with Sunil Chhetri at a Bengaluru FC game, where the Indian football captain gifted him a jersey.
