The ICC has officially unveiled the ICC Women’s Future Tours Program (FTP) for 2025 to 2029, with a significant focus on expanding women’s cricket. One of the key highlights of the new FTP is the introduction of an ICC women’s tournament every year. Additionally, Zimbabwe will join the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, becoming the 11th team to participate in the prestigious event.

For the India Women’s Cricket Team, like others, the FTP will include matches against the other eight top teams, maintaining the current format of 4 home and 4 away series. Over the five-year cycle, a total of 44 series will be played, featuring 132 ODIs, with each series consisting of three matches.

“We are thrilled to announce the new Women’s FTP, which continues to provide context and a clear path to the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2029,” said ICC General Manager of Cricket, Wasim Khan. He also expressed excitement over Zimbabwe joining the Women’s Championship, expanding the competition further.

The upcoming cycle shows a notable increase in matches across all formats compared to 2022-2025. Highlights include the inaugural six-team Women’s Champions Trophy in 2027 and ICC Women’s World Cups scheduled in 2025 (India), 2026 (UK), and 2028 (host to be determined).
