The Australia cricket team defeated arch-rivals and defending Champions England by 36 runs in their second match of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup clash. While chasing the target of 202 runs, the Jos Buttler-led team felt behind the moment Adam Zampa dismissed dangerous Phil Salt and Buttler. England managed runs in 165/6 in 20 overs. Pat Cummins, who missed the opening contest against Oman, took two wickets. 

Earlier, Australia posted 201/7 in 20 overs. Travis Head (34), David Warner (39), Mitchell Marsh (35), Glenn Maxwell (28), and Marcus Stoinis (30) played well for the 2021 champions. Chris Jordan took two scalps for the English side, but he was expensive.
