RavindraJadeja’s four-wicket haul has left New Zealand teetering at 171/9 at the end of Day 2 in the 3rd Test at Wankhede Stadium. Jadeja claimed his fourth wicket on the last ball of the day, dismissing Matt Henry, capping an excellent day for India. Earlier, Jadeja ended a 50-run partnership between Daryl Mitchell and Will Young by dismissing Mitchell, thanks to a stunning catch by RavichandranAshwin. He soon bowled Tom Blundell, leaving New Zealand in a precarious position.

India had earlier posted 263 runs, taking a slender 28-run lead. Shubman Gill was dismissed for 90, narrowly missing out on his century. Ajaz Patel was the standout bowler for New Zealand, taking five wickets, including Gill's, as India’s middle-order faltered. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 38. A crucial 96-run stand between Gill and Rishabh Pant, who scored a rapid 50 off 36 balls, had given India momentum in the first session.

New Zealand’s bowlers, led by IshSodhi and Patel, fought back, but Jadeja’s late-day spell put India in control. With New Zealand leading by 143 runs and down to their last wicket, India heads into Day 3 with the upper hand.
