Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has issued a strong message to Pakistan cricket, emphasizing that it won’t matter if they choose not to come to India. Amid ongoing tensions between the BCCI and PCB regarding the hosting of the upcoming Champions Trophy, Harbhajan stated that India will not travel to Pakistan until the political situation improves.
He remarked, “Don’t come to India if you don’t want to; we don’t have any issues. If Pakistan doesn’t come, it won’t matter much.” Harbhajan recalled his positive experiences touring Pakistan, highlighting their hospitality but expressed concern for Pakistani fans who miss watching top players like Virat Kohli.
He urged the PCB to set aside their stubbornness and allow the Champions Trophy to proceed, suggesting that other countries like Malaysia or Sri Lanka could host the event if necessary. With less than three months until the tournament’s start, the schedule remains unconfirmed as both boards continue their negotiations over a hybrid model for hosting matches. Harbhajan’s comments reflect a desire for resolution and a return to competitive cricket between the two nations.
