Super Smash 2022–23 Introduction

The 2022–23 Dream11 Super Smash was the 18th season of the Super Smash Twenty20 cricket competition in New Zealand. The tournament was held between 23 December 2022 and 11 February 2023, with six provincial teams participating. The defending champions were the Northern Brave.

During the 2022–23 season, it ran concurrently with the Plunket Shield and the Ford Trophy. As a result of beating the Canterbury Kings in the final, the Northern Brave won their fourth title in the tournament.

Tournament Format

The teams played in a double round-robin format in a group of six, which resulted in a total of 10 matches. The matches were played in a Twenty20 format. The first-place team in the group advanced straight to the final, while the second and third-placed teams competed in an elimination match. Positions of the teams were determined based on a points system developed by the group.
