Pakistan Super League 2022 (also known as PSL 7 or, for sponsorship reasons, HBL PSL 2022) was the 7th season of the Pakistan Super League, an annual Twenty20 cricket league initiated by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015.
The league was played between 6 teams in a double round-robin format following strict COVID-19 protocols, beginning on 27 January 2022 in Karachi. During the second phase, the playoffs were played in Lahore, with the final played on 27 February in which Lahore Qalandars played Multan Sultans. Throughout this season, all six teams have performed well. Particularly, the bowling performances of all teams were excellent, and every team gave their opponents a tough time.
In the final, Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their first PSL title. Afridi and Zaman were the top players that helped the Lahore Qalandars win their first title.
