In September 2022, the India women's cricket team toured England to play the England women's cricket team. The tour included 3 Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is) and 3 One Day Internationals (WODIs).
In August 2022, India announced their squad for the tour and Jhulan Goswami announced her retirement from international cricket. In September 2022, England captain Nat Sciver announced that she has withdrawn from the series to focus on her mental health. As Nat Sciver has withdrawn from the WT20Is matches, Amy Jones has been selected as England's captain. As a result of Jones' success in WT20Is, she was selected to lead England in WODIs matches as well.
The England team won the three WT20Is series 2-1. It was a fearless performance by England, which they are known for around the world.
However, India played very well in three WODIs and managed to sweep England women's cricket. In a three-match series, the Indian women's cricket team won by a margin of 3-0.
