The Indian cricket team toured England in July 2022 to play 3 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 3 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) against the England cricket team. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced in September 2021 that India would also play a one-off Test match after the 5th Test in 2021 was cancelled. Following the rescheduled match, the ECB confirmed that the match would determine the result of last summer's Test series, and would be played before the T20I series.
In June 2022, Eoin Morgan announced his retirement from international cricket after England's ODI series in the Netherlands. Thus, Jos Buttler has been appointed as the new captain of England's white-ball teams.
In the 3-match ODI series against England, the Indian cricket team performed well. Therefore, they were able to win the ODI match series by a margin of 2-1. In addition, the same applies to the series of T20I series. Similarly, India won the T20I series by 2-1 as well.
