Australia's women's cricket team toured India in December 2022, playing five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). In November 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the tour schedule. This series served as preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2023.
Australian women's cricket team played very ruthlessly in this series, defeating the Indian women's cricket team by a score of 4-1 in five T20 international games. During this series, India only won one game. The game went to a super over and India won with the last ball encounter. In the entire series, Australian batter Beth Mooney and bowler Ashleigh Gardner were the standouts. As a team, they played outstandingly and outclassed the Indian women's cricket team.
However, several senior cricketers were unhappy with this kind of performance by the Indian women's cricket team. They said it is shameful to lose at home under these conditions.
