For the first time after so long Virat Kohli has been moved out of the top ten as the latest edition of ICC Test Rankings are out. However, the Indian trio of Rishabh Pant, YashasviJaiswal and Rohit Sharma have retained their place in the top ten rankings.
RishabhPant has re-entered the top ten rankings for Test batters for the first time since his accident and ranked sixth, while YashasviJaiswal’s half-century was enough to move up to fifth on the rankings. Indian skipper Rohit has managed to keep his place in the top ten rankings despite the twin failures against Bangladesh.
On the other hand the left-arm spinner of Sri Lanka PrabathJayasuriya moved five spots, currently occupying the eighth spot in the test rankings. However the same is not the case with Asitha Fernando, who has moved out of the top ten. KaminduMendishas also risen to 16th in terms of Test batter rankings.
