The India cricket team pulled off a heist to reach the U19 World Cup final for the fifth time on the trot. The thrilling encounter against hosts South Africa saw India manage a win by two wickets. The Indian cricket fraternity, with the likes of Sourav Ganguly, GautamGambhir, and many veteran players, lauded the young team for their spectacular performance in a marquee tournament.
The captain of India U19, Uday Saharan, won the toss and opted to chase for the very first time in the tournament. It was also the first time the team would end up conceding a 200-plus score in the U19 World Cup 2024.
Ganguly lauded the Indian team as well as the South African team for putting up a great contest. Gambhir was thrilled with the team's performance. He wrote on Twitter, Fifth consecutive #U19WC final! Well done, boys!
India will face either Australia or Pakistan in the final, which is to be played on February 11.
