
England have added Sussex fast bowler Henry Crocombe to their squad for the second Test against New Zealand as cover for Ollie Robinson. Robinson, who remains part of the squad, is set to undergo precautionary scans after experiencing knee soreness during training on Friday, June 12.
Making an international comeback after a two-year hiatus, Robinson was named Player of the Match in the first Test after registering match figures of 7-77.
Crocombe, a 24-year-old right-arm quick, has 47 first-class appearances to his name. Having progressed through Sussex's age-group system, he made his first-class debut in 2020. He has also represented the England Lions and was most recently part of the squad that faced South Africa A in a three-match One-Day series.
Jofra Archer and Jordan Cox have also been added to England's squad for the second Test that starts on Wednesday, June 17 at The Oval.
