A big news has come out of Pakistan cricket as Babar Azam has been appointed once again as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team. Babar will take charge of the team in T20 and one-day formats. Pakistan cricket board chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given the responsibility to Babur after the recommendation of the selection committee.
Babar Azam had left the captaincy of all the formats after a poor performance in the ODI World Cup 2023, which was hosted by India after him. Shaheen Shah Afridi was made the captain in T20 format, while in the test Shan Masood was given the captaincy. However, even after changing the captain, the performance of the team was not anything special.

Watch it here.
The Pakistan team was out of the group stage of the World Cup 2023; they had won only nine matches out of nine and were in 5th place in the points table. Babar himself could not show much excellence in the batting, and many veterans, along with fans, strongly criticized him in such a situation. Babar left the captaincy of the Pakistan cricket team on November 15, 2023.
However, once again, the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to hand over the captaincy to Babar. Babar is the second-most successful captain of Pakistan after 1992 World Cup winner Imran Khan.
