Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Virat Kohli has, for the first time publicly, spoken about the birth of his and Anushka Sharma’s second child, son Akaay. Kohli described the experience as a “life-changing moment.”

The celebrity couple welcomed their baby boy on February 15, 2024, in London. They announced the news on social media, receiving an outpouring of love from fans and fellow celebrities. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma requested privacy as they embraced their new family member.

The official RCB social media channels recently posted a video featuring players discussing how their lives had changed between the 2023 and 2024 IPL seasons. In the video, Kohli shared his thoughts:

The birth of Akaay prompted Virat Kohli to take a personal break from the India vs England Test series. He rejoined the RCB team ahead of the IPL 2024 season opener.
