Both of these players joined the group of cricketers who have struck the longest sixes.

We’ll briefly review the record for the longest six in international cricket history in this blog post (2022).

Shahid Afridi | 153 meters long six against South Africa, 2013

Shahid Afridi, a former cricketer and the captain of Pakistan, hit the longest six in cricket history. According to official records, he hit a six that measured 153 metres, making it the longest six ever seen in cricket. When Ryan Mclaren, a cricket player from South Africa, was his opponent in Johannesburg in 2013, he hit the ball 153 metres.

Brett Lee | 130 meters long against West Indies, 2005

One of the world’s top quickest bowlers, Brett Lee, is well known for his bowling prowess. He is recognised, however, for launching the second-largest six in cricket history. He hit a 143-meter six against the West Indies in the year 2005. Lee was in amazement of the shot he made as the puck literally fell into the practise nets beyond the stadium.

Martin Guptill | 127 meters long against South Africa, 2012

Martin Guptill of New Zealand fits the description of the longest six in international cricket history as of 2022, without a doubt. In a Twenty20 International against South African Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Guptill struck a six from 127 metres. He struck the ball beyond the midwicket boundary with such force that it first impacted the stadium’s dome before falling.

Liam Livingstone | 122 meters long against Pakistan, 2021

Liam Livingstone of England is a power batter who is renowned for his enormous sixes on the cricket pitch. His 122-meter six against Haris Rauf in the second T20I between England and Pakistan at Headingley in 2021 made him renowned. This strike has been acknowledged as one of the biggest sixes in international cricket history.

Corey Anderson | 122 meters long against India, 2014

Corey Anderson of New Zealand was known for smashing huge sixes when playing international cricket. It was noted as one of the longest sixes in international cricket history when Anderson struck Mohd Shami for a 122-meter six during the opening ODI match against India in 2014. It demonstrated that he is one of the cricket ball’s hardest hitters in the entire world.

Mark Waugh | 120 meters long against New Zealand, 1997

One of Australia’s undervalued cricketers, Mark Waugh, is not well recognised for his big hits. In 1997, Mark struck Daniel Vettori for a 120-meter six, which is regarded as one of the longest and highest sixes in cricket. This occurred during New Zealand’s tour of Australia. It was a remarkable event for a player who was more well-known for his time and placement hitting.

Yuvraj Singh | 119 meters long against Australia, 2007

One of the most talented stroke masters in the cricket community is Yuvraj Singh, also referred to as Yuvi by cricket enthusiasts. In 2007, when he was included in the list of longest sixes in cricket history, this was demonstrably demonstrated. During the 2007 T20 World Cup semifinal between India and Australia, Yuvraj struck Brett Lee for a 119-meter-long six.

MS Dhoni | 118 meters long against New Zealand, 2009

Without including MS Dhoni, the list of the longest six in cricket in 2022 would never be complete. He is regarded as one of the best match finishers in ODI cricket history for the highest score in T20 international and is famed for maintaining his composure under pressure. MS Dhoni hit a 118-meter six during the third one-day international between India and New Zealand in Auckland in 2009, landing far back in the stands.

Chris Gayle | 116 meters long against India, 2010

There is no need to introduce Chris Gayle. The Universe Boss is a destructive hitter who set records for the most sixes hits in a game (553). Chris Gayle smashed Yusaf Pathan for a 116-meter six that flew clean out of the Kensington Oval stadium during the West Indies vs. India T20 World Cup match in 2010.
