The 21st match was played between Northern Knights and Auckland at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. Auckland’s captain Robert O’Donnell won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Katene Clarke and Tim Seifert came to bat, and Matt Gibson opened the bowling attack. Katene Clarke started the over with a four and opened the boundary account. In the third over, Tim Seifert smashed 4, 6, and 4 on the first three balls, and Katene hit the four on the last ball. After 3 0vers, NK was 29-0.

In the last over of the powerplay, Seifert hit back-to-back boundaries – 6, 4. He took a double on the last ball and reached his team to 50 runs. After 6 overs, NK was 51-0. Louis Delport took the wicket of Katene Clarke and provided the first success to his team. Seifert also got out on the next over after scoring 47(31) runs. After 10 overs, NK was 72-2.

Jeet Raval got out in the 11th over on Adithya Ashok. In the 14th over, Northern Knights reached 100 runs as Joe Carter took a single. In the 16th over, Joe Carter smashed 4, 6, and 4. Carter hit a four and scored his half-century in 30 balls. In the 18th over, Carter hit three boundaries – 6, 4, and 4. In the 19th over, Joe Carter hit the four on the second ball, and Henry Cooper smashed six on the fifth ball and got out on the last ball after scoring 21(18).

In 20 overs, Northern Knights scored 172 runs with a loss of 5 wickets.

Chasing 173 runs, Cole Briggs and George Worker came to bat, and Wagner opened the bowling attack. Cole got out without scoring any runs. The worker opened the boundary account with a four in the 2nd over. In the third over, Wagner took the wicket of William O Donnell and Robert O’Donnell, and both batters got out without scoring a run. After 3 overs, AKL was 10-3.

In the 6th over, Solia hit the four on the first ball and got out on the 4th ball after scoring 6(10) runs. After 6 overs, AKL was 27-4. Ben Horne became the 4th batter to get out on zero. Kyle Jamieson hit two fours in the 9th over. Auckland reached 50 runs in the 10th over. After 10 overs, AKL was 50-5.

George Worker got out in the 12th over after scoring 23(28) on Joe Walker. In the 14th over, Danru Ferns hit back-to-back 4, 6, and 4 and got out on the next ball. Jamieson smashed back-to-back fours and helped his team to score 100 runs. After 16 overs, AKL was 104-7.

Louis Delport got out in the 17th over, and Adithya Ashok got out in the 18th over. Matt Gibson hit back-to-back two fours. In the 19th over, Jamieson smashed 6, 4, and 4. Matt Gibson got out on the last ball. Auckland scored 135-10 and lost the match by 37 runs.
