Zimbabwe and Ireland squared off against each other at Harare Sports Club, Harare. With both the captains on the pitch, the former team won the toss and opted to bowl first. 

Balbirnie and Ross Adair opened the batting attack with a bowling attack from Madhevere. Adair lost his wicket in the first over only and the right-handed batter, Stephen Doheny came to the middle. 

Balbirnie bought the first four of the innings in the 2nd over and Ireland got a score of 14-2 after 3 overs. With Harry Tector hitting multiple boundaries, Ireland crossed the half-century with a score of 54-3 after 8 overs. After 11 overs, the team score shifted to 72-3. 

Scoring 27 runs in 28 balls, Camphor lost his wicket to Ryan Burl while Tector got a dismissal from Madhvere after scoring 47 runs in 38 balls. After 16 overs, Ireland crossed the century with a score of 106-6. 

In 20 overs, Ireland registered 141 runs with a loss of 9 wickets.

Chasing the target of 142, Marumani and Kaia unveiled the batting attack on the bowling from Tector. After 2 overs, Zimbabwe got 7 runs while in the 3rd over, Marumani lost his wicket to McCarthy. 

In the 5th over, Kaia bought the first two boundaries of the side and Ervine added one more. After 8 overs, Zimbabwe boys crossed the half-century with a score of 51-1. Scoring 23 off 23, Kaia lost his wicket to Tector. 

After 14 overs, ZIM jumped to a score of 88-3. Ervine stood tough for the side and the team crossed the century, standing at a score of 108-4 after 16 overs.
