India’s Slacky Performance Cost Them a Match Against SA in T20 World Cup

It’s the India vs South Africa T20 match that was played in Perth. With the SKY-DK partnership of 52 runs off 40 deliveries, India managed to make 133 runs in 20 overs in the first inning. Suryakumar scored 68 off 40 balls. Ngidi and Parnell amazed the Indian batters with their tight bowling.

For the run chase of 134 in the Ind vs SA match, South African batters de Kock and Bavuma unleashed the batting in the opening bowling attack of Bhuvneshwar.

Pressurizing the batters from the start, the Indian pacer, Arshdeep took the first wicket of de Kock and Rossouw in the 2nd over only. Markram somehow survived in the start and smashed the first boundary of this innings and the side got a score of 9 after 3 overs with a loss of 3 wickets.

Markram changed the bowling pace of Arshdeep and crunched another four in the next over. Bavuma in run-partnership and smashed the first six and the score moved up to 21-2 after 5 overs.

Allowing 10 off 15, Shami took the wicket of Bavuma. Markram kept showing his shots and played a lovely shot for a four and the score shifted to 32-3 after 7 overs.

On the tight bowling of Ashwin and Pandya, Markram and Miller managed to get the score upto to 40-3 after 10 overs. Markram and Miller bought the best shots in the 11th overs and cracked three boundaries, crossing the mark of half-century with a score of 56-3 after 11 overs.

With Markram standing tough against India and Miller in run-association got 17 runs off 14th over. Markram smashed a four in the next over on a throw from Arshdeep. Markram touched his 9th fifty of the T20Is.

Catches and missed run outs by the Men in Blue had hurt them hugely. Pandya gave a breakthrough to the partnership and took the wicket of Markram who scored 52 off 41 and got caught out to Suryakumar Yadav.

Tristan Stubbs took the batting charge and hopped onto the ball for a wonderful boundary and Miller helped the team to cross the century at a score of 109-4 after 17 overs.

While everyone eyed on Ashwin’s spells, Miller took the long off straight to the fence and hit back-to-back sixes in the 18th over.

Tristan Stubbs lost his wicket to Ashwin, clipping the top of leg and the side got to a score of 122 after 18 overs with a loss of 5 wickets.

Hitting back to back boundaries by Miller, he helped his team to chase down the target with a run score of 137-5 in 19.4 overs.

In the SA vs IND match, South Africa took a lead on the scoreboard and won the match by 5 wickets.
