At Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Adelaide Strikers vs Sydney Sixers met for the 2nd match of Big Bash League 2022. In the toss, the former team took the lead and opted to bat first. 

Weatherald and Short came to the crease on the bowling attack of Steve OKeefe. In the first over only, Steve took the first wicket of Weatherland and the right-handed batter, Chris Lynn took the batting charge. 

In the 3rd over, Short smacked two boundaries and a six and the side got a score of 19-1 after 3 overs. Lynn and Short kept hitting boundaries and after 7 overs, Adelaide Strikers jumped up crossing the half-century with a score of 51-1. 

The 9th over was a powerful one as Lynn slammed a six while Short brought two boundaries for the side, the score shifted to 76-1 after 9 overs. In the 11th over, Short got to his 50-run stand. Scoring 41 in 34 balls, Lynn lost his wicket to Naveed. 

With Short standing tough for the side, ADS crossed the century with a score of 100-2 after 12 overs. In 15th and 156th over, Short cracked 6 boundaries, shifting the score to 145-2 after 16 overs. Fueling a huge score of 84 in 53 balls, Short lost his wicket to Naveed. 

In 20 overs, ADS posted 184 runs with a loss of 6 wickets. 

For the run chase of 185, Philippe and Patterson took the batting charge with Short on the bowling attack. In the 2nd over, Patterson bought the first boundary for the side and lost his wicket to Henry Thornton. After 3 overs, the side got a score of 13-2. 

In the 4th over, Philippe smacked two beautiful boundaries. With Henriques and Jordan on pitch, Sydney Sixers crossed the half-century with a score of 54-3 after 9 overs. 

Scoring 24 runs in 29 balls, Henriques got a dismissal from Rashid Khan. After 16 overs, the side crossed the century, standing at a score of 104-4. In 20 overs, SYS scored 133 runs with a loss of 7 wickets. 

In the 2nd match of BBL, Adelaide Strikers won the match against Sydney Sixers by 51 runs.
