After securing the one-day series with an unconquerable 2-0 lead, a dominant India ‘A’ would now look forward to finishing their whitewash when they compete against New Zealand ‘A’ in the final in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Under the leadership of Unmukt Chand, India ‘A’ has generated a commanding show in the three-match unofficial ODI series so far as they lashed the visitors by six wickets in the initial two games.

India’s six-wicket victory on Tuesday closed the series for India ‘A’ and the hosts may look forward to examining their bench strength, offering an opportunity to batsman Sanju Samson and spinner Jalaj Saxena, according to cricket news for India.

So far, Chand has led this team, as he secured 94 and 59 in the initial two ODIs while his opening partner, Uthappa also secured a century in the opening tie.

The U-19 World Cup captain made a good comeback after his double failures in the Test series to get to the top of the list of the greatest run-scorers in the match of limited-overs so far and he would search for some other opportunity to inflict a whitewash on the tourists.

Uthappa, who is out of the present ODI scheme of things, hopes to generate another impressive run after the opening ODI ton to attract the eyes of the national selectors with a limited number of overs against South Africa and West Indies in sight.

Though the Indian middle-order batsman did not have anything to do in the primary match, they came to put up a good performance in the second match with the likes of Ashok Maneria, Mandeep Singh, and Kesar Jadhav standing up to the occasion.

Mandeep scored 59 totalling 89 runs off 103 for the 3rd wicket with captain Chand, Rajasthan left-hander Maneria, and Maharashtra’s Jadjav also delivered, making an unconquered 37 and 30 respectively, as per the cricket news update.

Maneria came out to be the most achieving player when he returned with a 5-W haul to strangle the Kiwis.

According to the latest cricketing updates, Other bowlers, under the leadership of Shawl Kulkarni also struck a disciplined line and kept the scoring rate of the batsmen of New Zealand in check. Kulkarni has taken five wickets so far while Rahul Sharma, spinner, took three and they would continue to put up their performance for the team.

India A squad: Prithvi Shaw, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi, Rajat Patidar, Sanju Samson (Captain), KS Bharat (wicket-keeper), Kuldeep Yadav, Shabhaz Ahmed, Tikal Verma, Rahul Chahar, Kuldeep Sen, Shardul Thakur, Umran Malik, Navdeep Saini, Raj Angad Bawa.
