Big Bash League: Perth Scorcher Defeated Melbourne Renegades by 5 Wickets 

On the grounds of  Docklands Stadium, Melbourne, the teams, Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers came to the middle where the former team won the toss and opted to bat first.

Guptill and Maddinson opened the batting attack on the opening bowling from Behrendorff. In the first over only, Maddinson lost his wicket while Guptill got out to Richardson in the next over. After 3 overs, the side had a score of 13-2.

Finch got a breakthrough for MLR and slammed three boundaries in the 4th over. After 8 overs, the side crossed the half-century with a score of 51-3. In the 10th over, Wells tossed the ball for a four and a six and Finch repeated the same shots in the 12th over, jumping up to a score of 81-3.

Fueling 22 off 24, Wells lost his wicket. After 16 overs, MLR boys crossed the century with a score of 103-4. Meanwhile, Finch reached his 50-run stand and stood tall for the side. He lost his wicket to Tye after adding 65 runs in 48 balls.

MLR posted 155 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 6 wickets.

To chase down the target of 156, du Plessis and Lyth came to the middle to witness the bowling of Akeal Hosein. In the first ball, Plessis hit the boundary and two more in the next over.

Lyth lost his wicket in the 3rd over, scoring just 2 runs in 7 balls and PRS got a score; 17-1. With Plessis and Bancroft on the pitch, the side crossed the half-century with a score of 52–1 after 7 overs.

Fueling 39 off 29, Plessis lost his wicket to Richardson. After 13 overs, PRS reached the century with a score of 100-2. Adding a huge score of 46 in 32 balls, Inglis got a dismissal from Hosein and the score jumped to 130-3 after 17 overs.

In 19.5 overs, PRS scored 156 runs with a loss of 5 wickets and won the match against MLR by 5 wickets.
