At Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan, the squads, Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators came against each other for the 3rd match of Pakistan Super League. 

With the captains of both teams on the pitch, Multan Sultans won the toss and opted to field first. 

Roy and Guptill opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Akeal Hosein. In the first over only, Guptill crunched the first four for the side. In the immediate over, he lost his wicket to Sameen Gul and the right-handed batter, Abdul Bangalzai came to the crease. After 3 overs, QTF got a score of 23-1. 

After 6 overs, QTG score shifted to 38-3 and scoring 27 off 18 balls, Roy lost his wicket to Inhsanullah. QTG boys crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 52-5 after 10 overs.

After 15 overs, QTG jumped to a score of 80-8 and the side reached the century with a score of 100-9 after 18 overs. 

In 18.5 overs, QTG got bowled out and posted 110 runs on the scoreboard. 

To chase down the target of 111, Masood and Rizwan opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Naseem Shah. In the 2nd over only, Masood lost his wicket to N Thushara, adding just 3 runs in 5 balls. After 3 overs, MS got a score of 11-1. 

In the 4th over, Rossouw bought the first four for the side and smashed 4 back-to-back boundaries. After 6 overs, MS score shifted to 45-1. 

After 7 overs, MS reached the half-century, with a score of 50-1 and jumped to a score of 70-1 after 10 overs. 

Rossouw stood tough for the side and in 13.3 overs, MS scored 111 runs, losing just 1 wicket and won the match by 9 wickets.
