India Women and Ireland Women came against each other in the 18th match of the Women’s World Cup match at St George’s Park, Gqeberha. India Women won the toss and decided to bat first.

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana came to bat, and Orla Prendergast opened the bowling attack. Shafali Verma hit a four in the second over, and it was the first boundary of the match. India played power play very well and didn’t lose any wickets. After 6 overs, India women were 46-0.

In the 20th over, Rodrigues hit two fours and got out after scoring 19(12).

In 20 overs, the India women scored 155 runs with a loss of 6 wickets.

Chasing 156 runs, Amy Hunter and Gaby Lewis came to bat, and Renuka Singh opened the bowling attack. Amy Hunter ran out on the first ball after scoring 1(1) in the first over. Prendergast got out on duck on the fifth ball. Delany hit a four on the last ball, and it was the first boundary of the match. Ireland women made a comeback after an initial blow. After 6 over, IRE women were 44-2.

In the 8th over, the partnership between Gaby Lewis and Laura Delany reached 50 runs. The rain started and stopped the play in the 9th over. The match couldn’t start, and Ireland was at 54-2 and were 5 runs behind. India women won the match by 5 runs by DLS.
