At Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the first ODI match of IND vs NZ match, India registered a run score of 306 in 50 overs at a loss of 7 wickets, from the latest cricket updates. 

For the run chase of 307, Finn Allen and Conway came to the middle on the bowling encounter of Arshdeep Singh. Finn Allen bought the first boundary for New Zealand and got a score of 7 after 2 overs. Hitting some boundaries and six, Finn scored a total 22 in 25 balls and lost his wicket to Thakur. After 8 overs, NZ scored 35 with a loss of 1 wicket. The right-handed batter, Kane Williamson took the batting charge. With the efforts of Conway on the pitch, NZ crossed the half-century with a score of 50 after 12 overs with a loss of 1 wicket. 

Mitchell struck the ball for a six in the over from Chahal and the score moved up to 79-2 after 17 overs. With Tom Latham and Williamson on the pitch, the team crossed the century, standing at a score of 106-3 after 23 overs. After 29 overs, Williamson got a 50-run stand. 

The duo standing tough against the Indian pacers, their score reached up tOo 180-3 after 34 overs. Meanwhile, Latham also reached his 50-run stand.  

On the over from Arshdeep, Latham drilled a six that led the side to reach the double century, with a score of 200-3 after 37 overs. The 40th over from Thakur was a magical one for the New Zealand team as Latham nailed 4 boundaries and one six led them jump up to 241-3 after 40 overs. Latham scored 100 single-handedly. 

Again, in the 43rd over, Latham bought a six and Williamson a four for the side, reaching 265-3 after 43 overs. After next two overs, Latham bought three boundaries and the pair stretched the score up to 305-3 after 47 overs. 

In the NZ vs IND match, New Zealand won their first ODI match by 7 wickets.
