The United Arab Emirates and West Indies faced each other in the first ODI of the series at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. UAE won the toss and decided to bat first.

Muhammad Waseem and Aryansh Sharma came to bat, and Keemo Paul opened the bowling attack. Muhammad Waseem got out for a duck on the second ball. In the 3rd over, Aravind hit a four on the third ball, and it was the first boundary of the match. He hit one more four on the fifth ball. In the 4th over, Aryansh Sharma hit a four on the third ball and got out after scoring 5(5) on the fifth ball. After ten overs, UAE was at 43-2.

In the 12th over, Rameez Shahzad started the over with a four, and UAE reached 50 runs on the fourth ball with a single. In the 17th over, Asif Khan started the over with a four. In the 24th over, Asif Khan hit the first six of the match on the first ball, and UAE reached 100 runs on the last ball. In the 25th over, Aravind got out after scoring 40(77) on the first ball. After 25 overs, UAE was at 104-3.

In the 26th over, Rameez Shahzad got out after scoring 16(31) on the second ball. In the 27th over, Asif Khan got out after scoring 27(41) on the second ball. In the 33rd over, Mustafa got out after scoring 7(23) on the second ball. In the 35th over, Afzal Khan finished the over with a four. In the 38th over, Afzal Khan got out after scoring 9(22) on the third ball. In the 39th over, UAE reached 150 runs. After 40 overs, UAE was at 155-7.

In the 41st over, Ali Naseer smashed two sixes. In the 45th over, Ali Naseer scored a half-century with a single on the fifth ball. In the 46th over, Ali Naseer hit a four on the third ball and got out after scoring 58(52) on the fifth ball. In the 47th over, Junaid Siddique smashed a six on the third ball and got out after scoring 8(5) on the fifth ball. In the 48th over, Meiyappan got out after scoring 11(25) on the first ball, and it was the last ball of the UAE.

UAE got all out at 202 runs in 47.1 overs.

Chasing 203 runs, Brandon King and Johnson Charles came to bat, and Junaid Siddique opened the bowling attack. In the 2nd over, Brandon King hit a four on the fourth ball. In the 4th over, Johnson Charles smashed back-to-back three boundaries, including a six, and finished the over with a four. In the 9th over, Johnson Charles got out after scoring 24(19) on the second ball. In the 10th over, West Indies reached 50 runs. After ten overs, WI was at 50-1.

In the 13th over, Brandon King hit back-to-back two boundaries. In the 21st over, Brandon King scored a half-century on the third ball with a single, and WI reached 100 runs on the last ball. In the 24th over, Shamarh Brooks hit a four on the third ball, and Brandon King finished the over with a six. After 25 overs, WI was at 129-1.

In the 28th over, Shamarh Brooks got out after scoring 44(58) on the third ball and missed his half-century. In the 31st over, Brandon King smashed back-to-back three boundaries. In the 34th over, Brandon King started the over with a six, smashed six on the third ball and scored a century, and finished the over with a six. In the 35th over, Brandon King hit a four and got out after scoring 112(112) on the fourth ball. In the 36th over, Shai Hope smashed the back-to-back two sixes, and West Indies chased the target. West Indies scored 206-3 and won the match by seven wickets.
