VIRAT KOHLI EARNED HIS MAIDEN ‘ICC PLAYER OF THE MONTH’ TITLE

Along with Kohli, Sikander Raza from the Zimbabwe squad and David Miller from South Africa were in the queue of nominees for the award. Still, the Indian batter out-shined them all and clinched this title.
From the women’s cricket team, the veteran all-rounder from the Pakistan team, Nida Dar, has a title as ‘ICC Women’s Player of the Month.’ Her sensational performance in the Women’s Asia Cup campaign led her to get this title.
In October, the Indian batter Kohli churned out three mind-blowing knocks in only four innings. His powerful hits to get 82 against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup led India to emerge victorious. He has also got three half-centuries in the clashes with the Netherlands and Bangladesh in the current prestigious tournament.
India had their backs against the wall when Pakistan reduced them to 31/4 while chasing 160 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but Kohli steered the chase with a breathtaking knock of 82* from just 53 deliveries to take Rohit Sharma and co over the line.
