For the run chase of 220, New Zealand scored 104 in 18 overs with a loss of 1 wicket but rain interrupted the gameplay and the match was called off. 

The 3rd and final ODI match between India and New Zealand was abandoned as the weather conditions were unfavorable in Christchurch. Due to worse weather conditions, the 2nd between both the teams was called off due to rain and New Zealand had won the first match of the series. 

Due to leading in the first match, the Blackcaps have won the three match ODI series by 1-0. In the final match, India posted 219 runs on the scoreboard and New Zealand boys were up for the chase, getting up to 104 in 18 overs, losing one wicket. 

Finn Allen lost for 57 runs but New Zealand had full control over their chase. Previously, Washington Sundar had got to his maiden 50. New Zealand bundled out the Men in Blue for 219 runs. 

Adam Milne and Daryl Mithchell dismissed 3 Indian batters. The New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson took the lead to win the toss and chose to bowl first against India.
