T10 League 2022: Morrisville Samp Army Routed Bangla Tigers by 15 Runs
In the 3rd match of T10 League 2022, Bangla Tigers and Morrisville Samp Army squared off. Bangla Tigers won their previous match and hoped to keep its winning momentum undisturbed. Bangla Tigers won the toss and opted to field first. Moeen Ali and Charles opened for MSA while Shakib opened the attack for BGT. After 2 overs, MSA scored 18 without any loss of wicket but soon Benny Howell sent Moeen 11 (8) and Charles 7 (6) back to pavilion. Hetmyer stablised MSA’s inning with his 38 (21). Miller looked promising but couldn’t stand much on the crease and got run out in the 5th over. After 10 overs, MSA could manage to put a score of 100 at a loss of 5 wickets.
In response to this, Bangla Tigers had a better start than MSA in the run chase. Hazratullah and Lewis opened the attack and conjointly added 39 runs in 3.4 overs but Lewis 14 (8) was dismissed by Pretorius. Hazratullah and Clarke tried to bring BGT back into attack and they put 63 runs in 7.2 overs but Hazratullah was dismissed by Pretourius at 35 (26). Munro and Cutting tried to win the game for BGT but could not do much with limited balls.
Pretorius became man of the match while MSA ended up winning the match by 15 runs as they restrict Bangla Tigers to 85-3 in 10 overs. Pretorius didn’t allow much width to Bangla Tigers to hit big shots.
