T10 League 2022: Bangla Tigers Strikes Against NY Strikers With a 19-Run  Win

To unveil the batting on the grounds of Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, the captains of the teams, New York Strikers and Bangla Tigers came up for the first T10 match of the league. 

NY Strikers took the lead to win the toss and chose to bowl first. Hazratullah Zazai and Lewis opened the batting attack and the bowling encounter of Shepherd.

With a wonderful start, Hazratullah Zazai bought the first boundary of the innings and Lewis got another in the same over. Smacking two boundaries in the next over, Hazratullah lost his wicket to Riaz and he also dismissed Joe Clarke in the next ball. In the same over, Munro hit a six to backward square leg and the side reached at a score of 21-2 after 2 overs.  

Munro played magical innings, drilling a four and a six in the third over. Evin Lewis and Munro leveraged the bowling from Rampaul and moved the score of BGT up to 45-2 after 4 overs. Lewis nailed three beautiful sixes on the throw from Nav Pabreja that crossed the half-century, leaving them standing at a score of 68-2 after 5 overs. Scoring 30 in 17 balls, Munro lost his wicket to Thompson. 

Lewis stood tall on the pitch and drilled two huge sixes in the 7th over. His powerful shots led BGT to cross the century with a score of 107-3 after 8 overs. Fueling 58 runs in 22 balls for the side, he got a dismissal from Rampaul. The last over was magical for BGT as Shakib bought a four and a six along with Cutting who also got a six on an over from Nav.

Bangla Tiger posted a total run score of 131-5 after 10 overs in NY Strikers vs BGT in the first match of the T10 league. 

To chase 132 runs, Stirling and Muhammad Waseem came to the crease to witness Shakib’s bolwing attack. 

Shakib dismissed the first batter, Waseem in the first over only and the side got a fumble. In reply, Azam Khan drilled two fours and a six in the 2nd over only, with NYS getting a score of 28-1 after 2 overs. 

Scoring 34 off 13, Khan lost his wicket to Benny Howell. With Paul Stirling and Pollard on pitch, the side crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 54-3 after 5 overs. NYS kept their bowling tight and dismissed the batters frequently. On the delivery from Matheesha Pathirana, Thompson smacked a six in the 7th over. Pollard stood tough and dragged the team score to cross the century with a score of 104-7 after 9 overs. 

In BGT vs NYS match, Bangla Tigers emerged victorious against New York Strikers by 19 runs.
