Sri Lanka and India will square off against each other in a three-match One Day Internationals (ODI) series after walking off playing T20I series. Led by Hardik Panya, India won the series by 2-1. 

With ODI playoffs, both the squads will polish their styles and techniques to implement in the ODI world cup by the end of this year. In the ODI series, Rohit Sharma will be the captain for the side while the T20I series was led by Hardik Pandya. For the ODI series, Pandya will serve as the vice-captain for the side. 

So far, both teams have appeared in 162 ODI matches against each other and Indian won 93 while Sri Lanka 57 out of them. In Asia Cup, Lankans thrashed Indians in the Super 4 stage and emerged victorious. 

In the ODI series, Sri Lanka came against Afghanistan in November 2022. The match between them tied 1-1. 

In the T20I series against India, Sri Lanka battled hard but lost the series. They will look to pull things in their favor in the ODI series.
