International League T20, 2023: Sharjah Warriors Won by 4 Wickets Against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders

Sharjah Warriors and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders faced each other in the 19th match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Sharjah Warriors won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Stirling and Joe Clarke came to open and Naveen-ul-Haq opened the bowling attack. Stirling started the over with a four and Joe Clarke ended the over with four.

Power play was decent for Abu Dhabi as they scored 46 runs and lost the wicket of Joe Clarke in the fifth over. Abu Dhabi reached 50 runs in the 7th over with a single and Stirling. Paul Stirling didn’t stop and smashed the ball continuously and scored his half-century in the 12th over.

Dhananjaya couldn’t do much and lost his wickets to P Walter in the 13th over. Andre Russell came to bat and hit a six in the 14th over. Stirling got out in the 16th over after scoring 55 runs on Noor Ahmad.

In the 18th over, Asalanka and Russell hit one six each. Rusell got out in the 20th over after scoring 33(28).

In 20 overs, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders scored 149 runs with a loss of 4 wickets.

Chasing 150 runs, Gurbaz and Kohler-Cadmore came to bat and Akeal Hosein opened the bowling attack. Kohler-Cadmore hit the six on the last ball of the over. Gurbaz started the second over with a four.

In the third over, Sabir Rao came to bowl and the first ball went for four as it beat the batter and keeper. Gurbaz hit two fours on the second and third ball. He was in the hitting zone and smashed two sixes in the fourth over and it led Sharjah to 50 runs in just 23 balls. In the last over of the powerplay, Kohler-Cadmore got out and Sharjah ended the power play with 64-1.

In the 7th over, Gurbaz hit two fours and reached his half-century with a four in the next over. Akeal Hosein ended the Gurbaz show as he sent a dangerous batter to the pavilion. Gurbaz scored 56 runs in 39 balls with two sixes and four fours. After 10 overs, Sharjah was 94-2.

In the last 10 overs, Sharjah required 56 runs to win. In the 11th over, Stoinis hit a six and got out on the next ball. In the 11th over, Denly hit a four and got out on the next ball.

In the 14th over, Lahiru Kumara was brought back into the attack and he took two wickets –  P Walter (4) and Adam Hose(15). Mohammad Nabi hit one six and two fours and it reached Sharjah closer to the target. In the 17th over, Sabir Rao delivered a wide ball and Sharjah reached their target. Sharjah scored 150-6 and won the match by 4 wickets.
