The teams, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars came against each other at National Stadium, Karachi. With both the captains on the pitch, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and opted to field first. 

Mirza Baig and Fakhar Zaman unveiled the batting attack on the opening bowling of Hafeez. In the first over only, Baig crunched two fours and a six. After 3 overs, LHQ got a score of 32. 

In the 5th over, Fakhar Zaman lost his wicket to Odean Smith after scoring 22 off 14 balls and the right-handed batter, Kamran Ghulam came to the crease. LHQ boys crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 56-1 after 5 overs. 

Scoring 31 in 15 balls, Mirza Baig got a dismissal from Nawaz and the right-handed batter, Shai Hope took the batting charge. LHQ score shifted to 88-2 after 8 overs. 

LHQ boys crossed the century with a score of 108-2 after 10 overs. Adding 21 runs in 17 balls for the side, Kamran Ghulam lost his wicket to Qals Ahmad and the left-handed batter, Hussain Talat took the batting charge. 

After 16 overs, LHQ jumped to a score of 158-5. In 20 overs, LHQ posted 198 runs with a loss of 6 wickets. 

Chasing down the target of 199, Guptill and Abdul Bangalzai unveiled the batting attack on the opening bowling of Shaheen Afridi. In the first over, Guptill cracked the first four for the side while Abdul Bangalzai lost his wicket to Shaheen Afridi. After 3 overs, QTG got a score of 16-1. 

In the 5th over, Roy smashed three huge sixes and the score shifted to 40-1. After 7 overs, QTG crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 52-2. Scoring a huge, 48 in 30 balls, Roy got a dismissal from Rashid Khan and the right-handed batter, Iftikhar Ahmed took the batting charge. 

QTG jumped to a score of 86-3 after 11 overs. After 15 overs, QTG crossed the century with a score of 103-6 after 15 overs. In 20 overs, QTG scored 135 runs with a loss of 8 wickets and lost the match by 63 runs.
