Pakistan Super League 2023, 22nd Match – Quetta Beat Karachi Kings by 4 wickets

The 22nd match of Pakistan Super League 2023 was held between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings on 6th March at Pindi Club Ground, Rawalpindi. Quetta Gladiators won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bat first. 

The first innig started with Wade and Rossington at the crease and Naseem Shah opened the attack. Naseem Shah was in his form from the first ball as he dismissed Wade without even allowing him to make a singl run. Tayyab Tahir tried to hit good boundaries but could not go beyond 4th over when Aimal Khan took his wicket. While Adam on the other hand hit boundaries and took the Karachi Kings to 53 runs in the 6 overs. 

Qasim Akram lost his wicet in 8th over and Adam and Shoaib Malik make the run score of 71 with a loss of 3 wickes after 10 overs. Adam completed his fifty in the 12th over. He tried to make a brilliant runscore, but Naveen-ul-Haq dismissed him in 17th over at 69(45). 

Aamer Yamin and Imad Wasim finished the first inning with an incredible bating and make a total run score of 164 runs with a loss of 6 wickets. 

The second inning started with Omair Yousuf and Guptill at the crease and Amir opened the attack. Quetta Gladiators showed that they were ready for the competetion from the first over, hit 10 off the first over. However, Aamer dismissed Omair Yousuf. Quetta Gladiators reached 64 runs with a loss of 4 wickets. 

After the powerplay, Karachi dismissed Iftikhar Ahmed, Najibullah and Umar Akmal in 10 overs and was able to chase only 64 runs. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Martin Guptill took the rope in their hand and took the team to 97 runs in 15 overs. In the last 5 overs both the player hit boundaries and no ballers can dismissed them. Quetta hold their nerves to go past Karachi and it has been a nail-biting win for them. Quetta won the match by 4 wickets.
