At Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, the women’s teams, New Zealand and Pakistan came against each other. Both the captains came against each other and Pakistan women won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Browning and Emma McLeod opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Anosha Nasir. In the first over only, McLeod crunched the first two fours of the innings. After 3 overs, New Zealand women got a score of 26. Scoring 32 runs in 18 balls, McLeod lost her wicket to Nasir. After 6 overs, NZ women crossed the half-century with a score of 57-1.

Browning kept smacking multiple fours and sixes and reached a score of 80-1 after 8 overs. Adding 31 off 25 balls, she lost her wicket to Aslam. After 12 overs, the women’s squad crossed the century with a score of 109-2.

After 16 overs, NZ women jumped to a score of 145-3 and in 20 overs, New Zealand women scored 178 runs with a loss of 7 wickets.

Chasing down the target of 179 runs, Shawaal Zulfiqa and Eyman Fatima opened the batting attack on the opening bowling of Browning. Browning lost her wicket at duck and one more in the next over. After 3 overs, Pakistan women got a score of 4-2. In the 6th over, Syeda Aroob got the first four for the side. After 7 overs, Pak women’s score shifted to 18-4.

After 12 overs, Pak women’s score jumped to 29-5 and the side struggled hard to cross the half-century with a score of 51-6 after 17 overs.

In 20 overs, Pakistan women scored 75 runs with a loss of 7 wickets and lost the match by 103 runs.
