Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, the captains of the teams, The Chennai Braves and Northern Warriors came up for the toss. The Northern Warriors took the lead and chose to bat first. 

Usman Khan and Lyth unveiled the batting strike on the opening bowling strike from Patrick Dooley. In the first over, Usman Khan bought one four and two sixes. In the consecutive over, Khan got another four and a six, getting up to a score of 33 after 2 overs.

The direct hit from Lyth for a four and Khan for a six, the side crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 52 after 3 overs. In the 5th over from J Fuller, Khan smacked four and six that crossed his single 50-run stand and the team score to 79. 

Scoring 65 runs in 24 balls, Usman Khan lost his wicket to J Fuller and the right handed batter, Rovman Powell came to the crease. After 7 overs, they crossed the mark of century with a score of 105-2. 

Lyth and Adam Hose kept drilling beautiful shots for boundaries and sixes. Northern Warriors posted 141 runs with a loss of 3 wickets. 

For the run chase of 142, Rossington  and Lyth came to the crease to witness the throw from Irfan. Rossington bought the first boundary for the side in the 2nd ball. In the immediate over, Malan smacked two fours, getting to a score of 22 after 2 overs. 

Udana dismissed Rossington in the 3rd over and the right-handed batter, Brathwalte took the batting charge who took the ball long off the fence for a six. With a beautiful four and a six, CHB crossed the half-century with Fuller hitting sixes, and the side standing at a score of 59-2 after 5 overs. In the immediate over, Udana gave out three boundaries. Scoring 27 in 13 balls, Brathwaite lost his wicket to Irfan and the team had a score of 80-3 after 8 overs. 

Northern Warriors defeated The Chennai Braves by 34 runs.
