Youngest Captain to Win a Deodhar Trophy
India had won the under-19 world cup tournament in the capacity of Virat Kohli, and Delhi made him captain for the Deodhar Trophy in the 2009-10 season. He was the youngest captain to win the Deodhar trophy. Virat Kohli was the captain of North Zone, beat the West Zone by 49 runs in the final, and became the youngest captain at 21 years and 124 days old to win the Deodhar Trophy. Later Shubman Gill broke his record in 2019 and became the youngest captain at 20 years and 57 days to win the Deodhar Trophy.
In the 2009-10 season, Virat Kohli’s North Zone scored 267/9.
